Eaton Electrical products for Power Factor Correction Capacitors correct poor power factor, thereby reducing or eliminating penalties charged by the utility; increase load capacity; and regulate voltage. Cutler-Hammer Power Factor Correction Capacitor Banks and Passive Harmonic Filters are available in a wide array of applications, from 240 V AC-115 kV and kvar ratings of 1-15,000.

Professional Power Protection uses fixed and switched Eaton Cutler-Hammer Power Factor Correction Capacitors. Each Fixed Capacitor Bank is designed for high reliability and long life. These products are designed for applications that do not contain harmonic generating loads.

Switched Power Factor Correction Capacitor Banks are designed with built-in intelligence to adapt to a facility's changing load conditions. They automatically monitor and control banks of capacitor cells, to maintain the desired power factor level. As loads change throughout the facility, the solid state controller will add or subtract capacitance from the system to maintain a consistent level of desired power factor.
